On The Job – A Redwood Ranch Rail Fence in Alamo

A & J Fencing builds custom fences, decks and patio covers all over the Bay Area. This week’s “On the Job” post features a redwood ranch rail fence that we built out in Alamo.

Ranch rail fencing is characterized by its horizontal rails and looks great around a large property or farmland. It’s also known as horse fencing.

For this project, the customer requested a 6-foot-high fence. We completed the job in one day. In the end, the customer decided they wanted to take the fence a step down so we came back a few days later and made those changes for them.

The customer was extremely happy with the end result and plans on painting their new ranch rail fence white.

Before and After: Building a Redwood Arbor, Patio Cover and Fence

Before1-300x225.jpegFor this three-day custom fencing project in Martinez, our client wanted to bring some shade and privacy to his deck. Here, we agreed on a beautiful redwood three tier arbor 2 by 2, a patio covering the deck and reaching the roof, and a redwood board-on-board fence for consistent colors.

The custom arbor created a more intimate yard and deck space allowing our client to entertain family and friends outside. At sunrise and sunset, the redwood reveals its natural beauty and blends perfectly with the house and garden area.
